On Friday, the Lagos State Government has urged all registered voters of Ifako-Ijaiye Federal Constituency to come out enmasse for Saturday’s bye elections. The election exercise is to fill the House of Representatives seat vacated by late Dr. Elijah Adewale of All Progressive Congress (APC) who died in July 20, 2016.

Mr Tunji Bello, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), in a statement enjoined all other residents across the state to continue their commercial activities in an orderly manner.

He further noted that movement will not be restricted during the voting exercise.

The election, which is being organised by the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) will be contested by many political parties.

The SSG stressed that adequate security measures have been put in place to ensure a free and fair exercise.
