Arsenal’s first summer signing is the German forward, with the Gunners also interested in West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, for whom they had a £105 million bid accepted on Wednesday, and Ajax defender Jurrien Timber.
Kai Havertz has signed a long-term contract at the Emirates, ending his three-year stay at Chelsea.
He earned his place in Blues history by scoring the winning goal in the 2021 Champions League final.
Chelsea signed Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen in 2020 for £75 million, but they were hoping to return a significant amount of their investment after a disappointing season at Stamford Bridge.
