    3 suspects arrested for the alleged murder of a naval officer

    According to the Ondo State Command, three suspects have reportedly been arrested over the alleged murder of a navel officer identified as Akingbohunmi in Idoani, Ose Local Government Area of the state.

    Akingbohunmi was allegedly attacked by hoodlums on Monday following an argument with a commercial motorcyclist.

    Following the attack, the naval officer who sustained life-threatening injuries was quickly taken to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead on arrival. His death led to the invasion of the community by naval officers in search of the culprits.

    However, after a search party organized by the community leaders to track the suspects down, the suspects were apprehended in various locations within and outside the community.

    Confirming the arrest, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Funmilayo Odunlami, stated that “three of the suspects have been arrested, and we are still on the trail of three others involved in the incident. The suspects will be transferred to the state headquarters soon’’.
