    Many Nigerians have paid their tribute to veteran actor and journalist Olumide Bakare popularly referred to as Chief Koko.

    The late Nollywood actor’s burial saw the likes of Nollywood actors, Toyin Adegbola and clerics from the Anglican communion, in attendance.

    The burial service of late actor Olumide Bakare is currently going on at the St James Cathedral, Oke Bola, Ibadan, Oyo State, today May 26, 2017.


    The late Nollywood actor’s burial saw the likes of Nollywood actors, Toyin Adegbola, Ayo Mogaji, presenter Yemi Ogunyemi and clerics from the Anglican communion, in attendance.

    Chronicle NG reported that Bakare died in April following a protracted battle with heart and respiratory disease.

    Bakare is survived by his wife, four children, and grandchildren.

    Bakare was a former staff of the NTA, Ibadan. He was fondly called “Chief Koko” following his role in a TV series, ‘Koko Close’.

    Bakare reportedly died in the early hours of Saturday at the age of 65, after battling ill-health since 2013.
