Odumodublvck, the Nigerian rapper, has revealed that he will step away from music once his “closest friends” achieve success in the industry.
The ‘Declan Rice’ hitmaker brought the revelation to light on Sunday in a post on X.
“Once all my nighas make it in music, I’m out,” the post reads.
While he didn’t specify which friends he was referring to, fans speculate he was talking about members of the Anti World Gangstars.
Anti World Gangstars is an Abuja-based rap collective known for their raw, gritty sound that mirrors the realities of street life.
The group comprises five rappers — Agunna, Fatboy E, Reeplay, Shagba, and Odumodublvck — along with their producer and sound engineer Cross.
Born Tochukwu Ojogwu, Odumodublvck is known for his unique stage performance and genre-mix style. In 2022, he signed a record deal with NATIVE Records, in partnership with Def Jam Recordings.
In the same year, he put out his first single titled ‘Picanto’ featuring ECko Miles and Zlatan Ibile.
The rapper also released ‘Declan Rice’ – a chart-topping single named after the English footballer. He has earned a plethora of nominations and awards for his craft.
However, Odumodublvck remains the only member of the group who has achieved global recognition in the music industry.
