    Full list of 2023 Headies nominations

    Nigeria’s most prestigious music award ceremony, the Headies, has announced the nominations for its 16th edition on Wednesday.

    The nomination list includes a diverse range of local and international performers who have been recognized for their contributions to the music industry in the previous year.

    Significantly, Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, garnered the most nominations on the list, with a total of 11 nominations.

    David secured three nominations while Omah Lay garnered six nominations.

    Burma Boy is also competing for Album of the Year against Davido, Rema, Asake, Omah Lay, and Victony.

    In the female category, Simi who garnered six nominations was also nominated in the ‘Best Female Artist of the Year’ category. Tems however, secured four nominations.

    This year’s award will also honor international artists who have built a name for themselves in the Nigerian music business. Drake, Future, Selena Gomez, Don Toliver, and Ed Sheeran are among the nominees for 2023 International Artiste of the Year.
