The National Examinations Council (NECO) has officially released the timetable for the 2024 Senior School Certificate Examinations (SSCE) for internal or school-based candidates.

The announcement marked the beginning of a pivotal period for senior secondary school students across Nigeria.

The council recently announced on its official X platform that the examinations will start on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, and end on Friday, July 26, 2024. The release of the timetable has sparked a flurry of preparations among students and educators, gearing up for the challenges ahead.

“The release of the examination timetable sets into motion our concerted efforts to ensure that all candidates are well-prepared to tackle their papers with confidence,” a spokesperson for NECO stated. “We are committed to upholding the integrity and standard of educational assessment, which is crucial for the academic and professional futures of our students.”

We encouraged educators to access the detailed examination schedule and plan their teaching strategies and revision timetables accordingly.

“This is a critical time for educators to provide the necessary guidance and support to students, ensuring they are thoroughly prepared for each subject,” the spokesperson added.

Candidates are advised to consult the NECO official website, to download the detailed timetable and to keep abreast of any updates or changes to the examination schedule.
