The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 595 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Thursday.
The 595 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 34854.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 293 patients from isolation centers across the country with nine new deaths reported.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria topped the number of confirmed cases with 156 new cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 13097.
Ondo state recorded 95 new cases, Rivers reported 53 new cases while Abia, Oyo and Enugu recorded 43, 38 and 29 new cases respectively.
Other states are Edo-24, FCT-23, Kaduna-20, Akwa Ibom-17, Anambra-17, Osun-17, Ogun-14, Kano-13, Imo-11, Delta-6, Ekiti-5, Gombe-4, Plateau-4, Cross River-2, Adamawa-1, Bauchi-1, Jigawa-1 and Yobe-1.
NCDC reports that there are 34259 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 14292 discharged and 769 deaths.
