The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 476 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Thursday.
The 476 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 50,964.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 476 patients from isolation centers across the country with seven new deaths reported.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria reported 235 new confirmed cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 17327.
Federal Capital Territory reported 44 new cases, Kaduna recorded 41 new cases while Borno, Plateau and Abia recorded 33, 28 and 13 new cases respectively.
Other states are Edo-13, Rivers-12, Imo-11, Oyo-10, Kano-9, Kwara-7, Enugu-5, Katsina-5, Gombe-4, Ogun-4, Nasarawa-1 and Zamfara-1.
NCDC reports that there are 50,964 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 37,569 discharged and 992 deaths.
