The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 276 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Tuesday.
The 276 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed cases to 8344.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 74 patients from isolation centers across the country with 16 new deaths reported.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria topped the number of confirmed cases with 161 new cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 3756.
Thirty six new cases were reported in Rivers, 27 in Edo, 19 in Kaduna and 10 in Nasarawa state.
Oyo recorded six new cases while Kano had four new cases and Delta reported three.
Others are Ebonyi-3, Gombe-2, Ogun-1, Ondo-1, Borno-1, Abia-1 and Bauchi-1.
NCDC reports that there are 8344 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 2385 discharged and 249 deaths.
