Samuel Chukwueze has joined English Premier League club Fulham on a season-long loan from AC Milan, joining compatriots Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey at Craven Cottage.
Chukwueze relocated on an initial loan with the option to purchase, which is not required.
According to an Italian transfer specialist, the total sum could exceed €25 million.
The 26-year-old finished his physical at the club’s training complex on Monday before flying to Nigeria for the World Cup qualifiers.
Chukwueze joined Milan from Spanish club Villarreal for €20 million during the summer transfer window in 2023, but he has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter for the Italian giants over the course of two seasons.
The Nigeria international had a mixed 2024/25 season, making 26 appearances with only nine starts in Serie A, totaling 918 minutes, and scoring three goals and two assists.
This season, he has only played one game for Milan, a 26-minute cameo against Cremonese in the league opener.
The Nigerian was connected with a move to Fulham in January, but the agreement fell through.
Chukwueze has three years left on his current contract at the San Siro, having scored four goals and assisted five times in 51 league appearances since joining the Rossoneri.
Chukwueze’s move to Fulham marks a fresh start in the Premier League, where his quickness and direct approach may be better suited to the demands of English football.
