A Nigerian investor has reportedly committed suicide after losing all his savings in a bad cryptocurrency investment.

The yet-to-be-identified investor reportedly lost $3,000 in the failed investment.

Announcing his death in a statement on X, his friend identified simply as Olorthewave, lamented that ”sometimes, taking big risks” may not turn out as expected.

He bemoans losing his friend to the cold hands of death as a result of the bad crypto investment.

”Lost a friend today because he lost $3k to crypto, and that was his last money on him. Sometimes taking big risks may end up taking our lives or may end up well,” he said.

”This is someone I spoke to yesterday, and today hearing he is dead because he lost his last money to crypto,” he added.
