Following a fire at a restaurant in Madrid, Spain, emergency services reported on Saturday that two individuals died and ten people were injured.
The Italian restaurant Burro Canaglia Bar&Resto, located in Salamanca’s centre quarter, is where the fire broke out late on Friday night.
According to a witness who spoke to El Pais newspaper, the incident began when a server lit a dish on fire, which caused the flames to spread to the walls and roof.
As the fire broke out close to the main exit, diners tried to escape, according to rescue officials.
Police in Spain are looking into what started the fire.
