Nigeria’s digital currency, eNaira app on Thursday was restored to the Google Play Store 24 hours after it was removed from the app.

Following the launch of the app on Monday, the eNaira app was removed on Google Play after over 100,000 downloads.

Chronicle NG reports that the app which has received mixed feelings was allegedly removed because of tons of negative comments and bad reviews on the app.

According to the spokesperson of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Osita Nwanisobi said that the removal of the App was to help the apex bank upgrade the functionalities.

He said, “There is an upgrade going on at the moment by Google; try in the next few hours.” adding that the application is now back online.
