The Amalgamated Union of App-based Transport Workers of Nigeria, which represents drivers on the platforms of e-hailing companies such as Uber and Bolt, has announced a nationwide strike which began today (Wednesday). The Federal High Court in Abuja delivered judgement on Tuesday against a legal practitioner, Mr Chuks Nwachukwu, who was forced to pay a N20 million fine for filing a bogus petition to stop President Bola Tinubu’s inauguration on May 29. Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has demolished shanties and other unlawful constructions used by street sellers and traffic vendors along the Lekki-Epe Expressway’s first and second toll gates.
