The Network for Democracy and Development (NDD), has stated that, corruption in the fuel subsidy scheme, is the obvious problem that has bedevilled the scheme. After the group’s extensive consultation with stakeholders in the country over the subsidy removal, the association concluded that “corruption is the elephant in the room” affecting the policy. Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has demolished shanties and other unlawful constructions used by street sellers and traffic vendors along the Lekki-Epe Expressway’s first and second toll gates.
