The Lagos State Magistrates Court sitting in Oshodi has convicted hoodlums extorting traders and other users of the pedestrian bridge across the state.  Magistrate Oshikoya found the suspects guilty of breach of public peace and illegal collection of money from people with goods and sentenced the defendants to 1 month in prison. No fewer than four children have reportedly been killed in a fresh outbreak of diphtheria disease in villages in the Mingibir Local Government Area of Kano State.
