The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has condemned the remarks made by a former Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission, Chidi Odinkalu, on the arrest of Idris Okuneye, popularly called Bobrisky. An improved national identity card featuring social service and financial functions will be unveiled by the federal government via the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC). This new card will be powered by AfriGO, a national domestic card scheme that was created in partnership with the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Nigeria Inter-bank Settlement System. Muhammed Tunde, a Nigerian Navy officer who was dismissed in 2000, has been arrested for impersonating a serving military official and coordinating assaults. SP Benjamin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed this in a statement released on Saturday. Nigerian politician and activist Aisha Yesufu has berated President Bola Tinubu over his handling of the affairs of the nation.  Yesufu condemned Tinubu’s economic policies, which, according to her, have resulted in untold hardship for the populace. The UK government has raised the general income threshold for those arriving in the country on a skilled worker visa from £26,200 to £38,700. According to Home Secretary James Cleverly, the minimum wage has been raised by 48% to reduce migration and place British workers first in the labor force.
