The Nasarawa State Government has deployed health personnel in response to the deaths of five children in the Gidinye community in Obi Local Government Area, Nasarawa State.  Gidinye, a community in the Jenkwe Development Area of the local government, is home to thousands of able-bodied men and women, including children. Hunger Protest: Police arrest protesters for stealing

The Rivers State Police Command announced the arrest of three people for stealing point-of-sale devices and vehicle wipers while protesting hunger and terrible government.  Olatunji Disu, State Commissioner for Police, confirmed this to journalists in Port Harcourt on Wednesday. Over 11 local vigilante members have been confirmed dead following a fierce gun battle with heavily armed bandits and unconfirmed numbers of vigilantes in the Tangaza Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
