Barcelona showcased their depth and resilience as a rotated and youthful squad came from behind to secure a 2-1 victory over already-relegated Real Valladolid in LaLiga on Saturday. Despite having nothing left to play for, Valladolid stunned the visitors early. Ivan Sanchez’s effort deflected off Ronald Araujo and wrong-footed Marc-André ter Stegen, who was making his return from injury. The hosts nearly doubled their lead through Raúl Moro, but Ter Stegen responded well. Barça, led by Hansi Flick, struggled to break down a determined Valladolid in the first half, with Ansu Fati and debutant Dani Rodríguez both going close. However,…
Kristjan Asllani’s early penalty secured a narrow 1-0 win for Inter Milan over Hellas Verona, keeping the Nerazzurri firmly in the Serie A title race behind Napoli. Facing pressure after Napoli’s earlier victory extended their lead at the top to six points, Inter Milan responded with a strong start at the San Siro. A VAR review awarded the hosts a penalty for a handball by Nicolas Valentini, and Asllani converted calmly—his first league goal of the season. Inter nearly doubled their lead soon after, with Nicola Zalewski’s long-range strike forcing a smart save from Verona goalkeeper Lorenzo Montipò. Despite Inter…

Former Minister of Environment, Mohammed Abdullahi, has urged Senate President Godswill Akpabio to confront the sexual harassment allegations leveled against him by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan and others, instead of relying on alleged “hired blackmailers and image launderers” to defend him. Abdullahi made the call in response to the public campaign led by a certain Professor Mgbake, who has been vocal in attacking Senator Natasha’s credibility. He accused Mgbake of disseminating falsehoods and engaging in a deliberate attempt to divert attention from the serious allegations confronting the Senate President. “While Mgbake publicly denied any link to the Senate President, she contradicted…
Aston Villa maintained their push for a top-five Premier League finish with a narrow 1-0 victory over Fulham at Villa Park, extending their unbeaten home run in the league to 17 matches. After recent disappointments in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals and FA Cup semi-finals, Villa needed a strong response. A late loss to Manchester City in their previous league outing left little room for error in their bid for European qualification. Fulham, also eyeing continental competition, came out with urgency in a fast-paced first half. However, Villa made the breakthrough just before the 15-minute mark when Youri Tielemans headed…
Kevin De Bruyne scored the decisive goal as Manchester City edged past Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-0 at the Etihad Stadium, sealing a fourth consecutive Premier League win and strengthening their grip on a UEFA Champions League spot for next season. Soon after, Rayan Ait-Nouri struck the post and forced a goal-line clearance from Joško Gvardiol following a second attempt. City weathered the early pressure and took control late in the first half. After Jose Sa denied Nico…
