Eromosele Adene was granted N1m bail by a Lagos magistrate court in Yaba

There was wild jubilation on Tuesday at the Yaba Magistrates Court, Lagos after a judge granted N1 million bail to detained #EndSARS protester, Eromosele Adene. The magistrate ruled against an application filed by the policemen attached to the State Criminal Investigation Department seeking to remand Adene for an extra 30 days. Adene’s lawyer, Tunde Jinadu, said his client has been granted bail. Jinadu had approached the court to grant his client bail on medical ground. To enable Nigeria and 69 other emerging and developing economies to tackle COVID-19 pandemic, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Monday released economic funding support totalling $99 billion to them. In an emailed report, the IMF said it advanced $29 billion under the Rapid Credit Facility and Rapid Financing instrument to Nigeria and other beneficiary countries.
