The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Friday urged a Federal High Court Lagos, to issue a bench warrant against a former Governor of Oyo State, Rashidi Ladoja, over money laundering charges. EFCC said its prayer was based on Ladoja’s refusal to show up in court, to give answers to a N4.7 billion money laundering charges preferred against him by the Commission. Donald Trump has settled three Trump University lawsuits for $25m (£20m), the New York Attorney General has said. The US president-elect was being sued by former students who paid $35,000 (£28,000) for real estate “secrets” from his “hand-picked” instructors. At least 365 migrants have drowned in the Mediterranean this week in six sinkings, bringing the death toll so far this year to 4,636, already 1,000 more than in all of 2015, the International Organization for Migration said on Friday.
