Police to conduct autopsy on Aribemchukwu, Justice Ajumogobia daughter’s corpse

The EFCC has preferred a 30-count charge against a Federal High Court Judge, Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia and Godwin Obla, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria. In the charge listed as number LD/367/C/16, Ofili-Ajumogobia was listed as first defendant, while Obla was named as second defendant. The defendants were said to have committed the offence on May 21, 2015, by conspiring to pervert the course of justice with five million naira. Justice Sylvester Ngwuta, a Supreme Court judge, arraigned on Monday for alleged money laundering has pleaded not guilty. He was arraigned at the Federal High Court, Abuja on a 16 count charge of money laundering and breaches. Ngwata was one of the judges arrested by Department of State Service (DSS). Nigeria’s recession deepened in the third quarter and oil production fell, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said on Monday, as a dollar shortage kept Africa’s biggest economy in a stranglehold. Gross domestic product contracted by 2.24 percent, the NBS said. A slump in crude prices led Nigeria’s economy to shrink by 2.06 percent in the second quarter, tipping it into recession for the first time in 25 years. The Ebonyi Police Command says it will start impounding and prosecuting drivers of vehicles with factory fitted tinted glasses who have not obtained the newly approved permit.
