They have adopted their final written addresses before the governorship Election Petitions Tribunal, sitting in Owerri. A former Attorney-General of the Federation, Mohammed Adoke, who is currently on a self-exile, said he contemplated suicide due to alleged persecution he was subjected to after he left office in 2015. Heavily armed police personnel at Supreme Court premises

At least 115 Police Mobile Force (PMF) operatives across the country have been disbanded as part of an ongoing reorganisation in Nigeria Police Force. The affected policemen comprised 37 Inspectors, 67 Sergeants and 11 Corporals were asked to leave the PMF with immediate effect.
