The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibadan zonal office, has arrested one Olumide Agbabiaka, a sales agent with Fidelity Bank Plc for allegedly stealing N137million. This is contained in a statement signed by the commission’s spokesperson, Mr. Tony Orilade on Monday in Ibadan. He said that Agbabiaka’s arrest was due to a petition filed by the bank’s Regional Security Officer and the Cluster Control and Compliance Manager. Orilade said that the suspect allegedly suppressed, diverted and stole the money from a customer’s personal corporate account in Ibadan. The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Ibadan on Monday upheld the victory of Gov. Seyi Makinde of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Adebayo Adelabu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had filed a petition against Makinde in the March 9 governorship election in the state. The vice president, Yemi Osinbajo on Monday disclosed that all ministers appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari will render their first performance report to the presidency in December this year. An Upper Area Court, Mpape, on Monday, ordered that a 34-year-old butcher, Abu Mohammed, who allegedly raped a 25-year-old woman, be remanded in a correctional facility in Keffi, Nasarawa State.
