Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Thursday presided over the monthly National Economic Council (NEC) at the State House. In a tweet by Mr. Laolu Akande, the spokesperson to the Prof. Osinbajo, NEC is the constitutional body that advises the President on the coordination of the economic affairs of the country. The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on Thursday, gave the Federal Government the nod to seize all assets belonging to P&ID Ltd, Virgin Island and its Nigerian affiliate, P&ID Nigeria Ltd. The two firms were found guilty and convicted on an 11-count fraud, tax evasion and money laundering charge the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, preferred against them. President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday in Abuja challenged security chiefs on the need to bring an end case to crude oil theft in the country. The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), has pledged to partner with the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to improve power supply across the country.
