Three children have lost their lives in recent flooding that ravaged communities in Warri North council area of Delta State. The children – a girl and two boys, from two separate families, were aged two, four and five years old. The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) has sealed 40 filling stations from January to date for various offences in Nasarawa State. Alhaji Abdulrahaman Muhammad-Bima, DPR Operation Comptroller, Lafia, disclosed this to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lafia on Monday. He said that the offences committed included under delivery, diversion of product, lack of safety and other related offences. The Nigerian Army on Sunday says it has dismissed three soldiers arrested among a kidnapping gang in the outskirts of Maiduguri. Maj.-Gen. Olusengun Adeniyi, the Theater Commander, Operation Lafiya Dole, disclosed this while handing over the dismissed soldiers to the police in Maiduguri. Adeniyi disclosed that the soldiers were arrested with 22 other suspects by a joint patrol team in the early hours of Sunday at a building in the outskirts of Maiduguri. The Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) said that the supply of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) dropped by 10.78 million litres to 50.22 million litres per day due to closure of the borders. Mr Kimchi Apollo, PPPRA spokesman, disclosed this in a statement he issued in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
