Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo has confirmed that he has tested positive for coronavirus on Monday. “I just received my COVID-19 confirmation test result. It is POSITIVE. Lagos State Government on Monday discharged five coronavirus patients at Infectious Disease Centre, Yaba Mainland Hospital. Gunmen have kidnapped two Chinese expatriates working in Ebonyi state, southeast of Nigeria, the state police commissioner has confirmed. The incident, it was learnt, happened in Ishiagu, Ivo Local government area of the state. They are said to be working for a mining company in the area. The Nigerian Senate has announced the decision by distinguished senators to contribute 50 percent of their salaries to the efforts to respond to the spread and treatment of coronavirus in Nigeria.
