    FLASH: NCDC announces 19 new coronavirus cases

    The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 19 new cases of coronavirus in Nigeria on Tuesday night, hours after Lagos discharged eight patients.

    This takes the total number of confirmed cases to 362, with 99 patients discharged.

    “Nineteen new cases of COVID-19 have been reported as follows: 14 in Lagos, two in FCT, one in Kano, one in Akwa Ibom and one in Edo.

    “As at 09:20 pm 14th April there are 362 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported in Nigeria. 99 have been discharged with 11 deaths.”

    • 20 new coronavirus cases announced, total 343

    A breakdown of coronavirus cases are as follows:

    Lagos- 203, FCT- 58, Osun- 20, Edo- 16, Oyo- 11, Ogun- 9, Bauchi- 6, Kaduna- 6, Akwa Ibom- 5 and Katsina-5.

    Other states are Kwara- 4, Kano- 4, Ondo- 3, Delta- 3, Enugu- 2, Ekiti- 2, Rivers-2, Benue- 1, Niger- 1 and Anambra- 1.
