Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on Sunday night kidnapped Mrs. Patience Nasamu, wife of Pastor Samuel Nasamu, and a female member of his church to an unknown destination at Agyaragu in Obi Local Government Area.
Nasamu, a pastor at Word of God Church Agyaragu, described the tragedy, lamenting that his wife, who is breast-feeding a three-month-old infant, was kidnapped together with a member of his church who came to see his family after a church session.
“I barely left my wife and our visitor with our new born baby at home to pray for one of my members who is sick when my wife placed a call to me, and all I could hear was her voice of prayer. She could not even tell me what was happening.
“I stopped the prayers, and when I got to the house, my wife, a member, was abducted, leaving my three-month-old baby behind,” he narrated.
Nasamu described how gunmen approached his apartment in a compound and attempted to break the doors and windows with a hammer.
Around 7:00pm, Nasamu noticed strange motorcycles and heard gunshots.

“When the gunmen failed, they began shooting sporadically, forcing his wife to open the door. Nasamu and a church member were abducted in an attempt to flee.”
He also confirmed that the police arrived after the incident and urged everyone to remain calm while investigations into the illegal act continued.
In response, a resident of the Agyaragu community, who did not want to be identified, expressed concern over the recent wave of kidnappings in the area and urged Governor Abdullahi Sule to take immediate action.
