Nigerians have described as laughable Tiwa Savage’s claims that an IT expert she paid wiped off her sextape from the internet and everybody’s phone.

Recall that in October 2021, the renowned Afrobeats queen revealed that she was being blackmailed over a sex tape.

Tiwa Savage disclosed that the sex tape was one she did with someone with whom she is currently in a relationship.

She said that her manager had sent her the video that had been sent to him by the blackmailer.

However, a few weeks later, a video clip of her and her lover in compromising positions hit the internet.

Speaking on the issue three years after the incident, the ‘Kelekele Love’ crooner noted that her biggest fear at the time was her son Jamil seeing the clip.

However, she noted that she paid an IT expert to wipe the clip off the internet and everybody’s phone.

“My biggest fear about my sex tape leaking was that my son might one day see it,” she said. “But I got in touch with an IT expert who hacked the video from the internet and everyone’s mobile device. Right now, you can’t find it anywhere. Even if you had it stored on your phone,” she added.

Reacting to her claims, an X user, Bigg M, argues that “Tiwa Savage saying she met an IT expert to delete all traces of her sextape on the internet, and everybody’s phone is shooting herself in the leg.”

He added that “this statement, I believe, has made a lot of people go look for the sextape, and the ones that didn’t even see it will want to see it.”

Damilare berated the songstress, saying, “I’m sure the same person who leaked the Tiwa Savage video is still the one who scammed her by saying that he hacked the video from the internet and everyone’s phone.”

In his reaction, Marrokk berated her level of computer literacy when he said, “It’s good to be computer literate. Anything you put on the internet is on the internet forever; the only way to permanently delete it is to delete the internet itself.”

“I marvel at her level of faith. It is beyond this world. It takes a leap of great faith to believe that the law of ‘what happens on the Internet stays on the Internet forever” could be reversed for you,’ Adele Lawal notes.

“Even if she paid a hacker to get the video off, why make public knowledge out of it? It seems she just wants to redirect our attention to the video once more. But for what purpose?” Simply, Abiodun queried.

For Olaiya Rasheed, he mentioned that the statement is a ruse by the singer to “gain traffic because she’s about to drop an album or single. Artists know exactly what they do.”
