Yoruba men have been described as chronic bleachers and utilizers of bleaching cream by a social media influencer.

Simply identified as Naija Farmer, the influencer, known for giving herbal health tips, berated men from the southwestern part of the country for allegedly bleaching their skin.

While preaching against the adulteration of one’s complexion, Naija Farmer, in a statement on X on Friday, noted that men from the ethnic extraction, especially those from Ibadan, “use bleaching cream unabated.”

He, however, urged people to stop using bleaching creams because they are hazardous to the skin and internal body organs such as the kidney.

His statement reads, “I’ve seen young men use bleaching cream because yellow is better, even women who use organic cream to lighten their bodies.

“Yoruba men are plenty on this table, especially the shameless Ibadan men who use bleaching cream unabated. Young ladies are foolishly changing the color of their skin.

“It’s dangerous to their skin and has serious effects on their internal organs, especially the kidneys. Plus, bleachers smell in some kind of odd way.”
