President Bola Tinubu was visited on Tuesday by Vice President Kashim Shettima at his Bourdillon home in Lagos State.

Members of the Nigerian Governors Forum, in addition to Shettima, paid Christmas tribute to the President at his Lagos mansion.

Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Dapo Abiodun, Biodun Oyebamiji, and AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Lagos, Ogun, Ekiti, and Kwara States are among those present.

Governors Abba Kabir Yusuf, Hope Uzodimma, Yahaya Bello, and Dauda Lawal of Kano, Imo, Kogi, and Zamafara states are also present.

Meanwhile, Tinubu on Tuesday directed security forces to find the perpetrators of the Christmas Day attacks in Plateau State’s Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi Local Government Areas.

The President, in a statement signed by Special Adviser Ajuri Ngelale on Tuesday, requested security agents catch the perpetrators.

“President Bola Tinubu strongly condemns the heinous and brutal attacks in Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi Local Government Areas of Plateau State, which resulted in the tragic loss of many lives.

“President Tinubu directs security agencies to immediately move in, scour every stretch of the zone, and apprehend the culprits.

“The President also directs immediate mobilization of relief resources for surviving victims of the primitive and cruel attacks as well as medical treatment for the wounded.”

While condoling with the government and the people of Plateau State, Tinubu assured Nigerians that “these envoys of death, pain, and sorrow will not escape justice.”
