    Nigerian Army announce 2023 recruitment, outlines steps to apply

    The Nigerian Army on Tuesday announced the commencement of 86 Regular Recruit Intakes and RRI for non-tradesmen and women.

    The news was issued by the Army Headquarters on Tuesday via a post on its verified X handle.

    According to the Army, the recruitment process begins with online registration on September 25 and is scheduled to expire on October 10, 2023.

    “This is to inform the general public and all interested applicants that the online application for the 86 Regular Recruits Intake for Non-Tradesmen and Women has commenced,” the Army said.

    “Application starts on September 25 and ends on October 20, 2023. The application is free at https://recruitment.army.mil.ng.

    “Shortlisted candidates will participate in the state recruitment screening exercise scheduled for November 6–19, 2023. Nigerian Army Recruitment is free; beware of fraudsters.”

    The Nigerian Army also published the requirements and method of application on its official website, which are:

    Applicants are to apply online via the recruitment portal, https://recruitment.army.mil.ng. Log on to the above-mentioned link using the username and password.

    Applicants are to complete the application form, submit it online, and print a copy.

    After that, applicants are to print and fill out the appropriate guarantor form. Applicants must bring copies of the application form and guarantor forms to the specified state recruitment centres.

    The applicants must be single, Nigerian citizens by birth, and have a National Identity Card (NIN) or BVN.

    Applicants must be physically, mentally, and medically fit according to Nigerian Army standards.

    Applicants must be free of any criminal convictions from a court of law and have a valid birth certificate or age declaration that has been validated by the National Population Commission, a hospital, or a local government council.

    Applicants must have a valid certificate of state of origin and be at least 1.68 metres tall for male applicants and 1.65 metres tall for female candidates.

    Non-trades applicants must be at least 18 years old and no older than 22 years old, while trades applicants must be no older than 26 years old as of December 18, 2023.

    Registered nurses and midwives under the age of 30 may also apply.

    All applicants must have at least four passes in WASCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB in no more than two sittings.

    In addition to the requirements listed above, applicants for tradesmen and women must have a Trade Test or City Guild certificate.

    From September 25 to October 23, interested candidates may visit the NA recruitment website at https://recruitment.army.mil.ng to complete online registration.

    Shortlisted candidates will take part in the State Recruitment Screening Exercise, which will take place from November 6 to November 19.
