President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday departed Abuja for a private visit to Paris, France.

His Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, confirmed this in a statement on Wednesday but did not elaborate on the reasons for the visit.

According to the announcement, the president is set to return to the country in the first week of February 2024.

This is Tinubu’s third visit to the country since taking office eight months ago.

On June 20, 2023, three weeks after taking office, Tinubu began his international tour in Paris, the French capital, where he had previously visited as president-elect.

In September 2023, the President attended the 78th United Nations General Assembly in New York, USA, for nine days, beginning on September 19. This was his first UNGA as president.

He then traveled to Paris, France, where he stayed for five days before landing in Abuja on September 29 ahead of Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Day on October 1.
