Victor Boniface has scored nine goals this season for Bayer Leverkusen

Nigerian striker Victor Boniface has asked supporters and well-wishers for help as he seeks another Rookie of the Month award.

Boniface has been nominated for the Bundesliga award for the fourth month in a row, along with two other players from RB Leipzig and Freiburg.

Following his arrival in the summer, the 22-year-old has enjoyed a fantastic season for the Bundesliga leaders.

Boniface’s remarkable form saw him become Bayer Leverkusen‘s key man in attack and main contributor, scoring eight goals and assisting five others this season for Die Werkself, earning three Rookie of the Month awards.

Despite a difficult November, Boniface is back for a chance to win the rookie award for the fourth time in a row, according to the Bundesliga website.

Despite not scoring a goal in the month in review, the Nigerian international has made the list again.

Following his latest nomination, the Leverkusen star has now come out to plead for votes from fans.

“Hey guys, Boniface Victor, I have been nominated for the Rookie of the Month again,” he said in a video posted by Bayer Leverkusen.

“I need you guys’ votes; thank you,” he added.

He proved to be the complete forward for Xabi Alonso’s men, not shying away from challenges off the ball and winning 52% of duels attempted.
