Troops of the Nigerian Army have apprehended a notorious bandit simply identified as Mai-Nasara at Sangeko Forest in Kebbi State.
The gallant troops also killed two other suspected bandits believed to be members of Mai-Nasara’s gang.
This was disclosed in a press statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to Kebbi State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, on Monday.
AbdulRahman Usman, Director of Security at the Cabinet Office in Birnin Kebbi, was quoted by Idris as telling the success story.
While complimenting the efforts of security officers in combating crimes and criminalities, particularly in the state’s southern region, Usman urged citizens to provide the required collaboration and support for the staff to succeed.
He said, “Your support and cooperation are highly necessary for the security agencies to achieve the desired goal of flushing out criminals and restoring peace and normalcy in our land.
“Therefore, there is a need for people to assist the security agencies with credible intelligence towards successful combat.”
