Remi Tinubu gives scholarship to 43 tertiary students

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has offered scholarships to 43 tertiary institution students.

The Renewed Hope Initiative of the First Lady launched the National Scholarship Programme for Higher Education, offering 43 tertiary institution students scholarships.

In a statement released on Saturday by Busola Kukoyi, media assistant to the First Lady, some of the recipients were nominated by different women’s societies.

Societies National Council for Women Societies and the Defence Staff and Police Officers Wives Association, while others were selected from among the 36 states of the federation and the FCT.

The statement reads, “The Renewed Hope Initiative of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (#SenRemiTinubu) today gave scholarship grants to 43 students of state and federal tertiary institutions from all the states of the Federation, the FCT, and nominees from some other women’s associations.

“The scholarship grant is one million naira annually for four years and a brand new laptop for each beneficiary.

“Also with the First Lady were the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu (#edu_betta), and the Minister of State for the FCT, Dr. Mariya Mahmood (#DrMariyaMahmoud).”
