French plane carrying 262 nationals fleeing Niger lands in Paris

On Wednesday, the first plane evacuating French nationals and citizens of other European countries fleeing Niger landed in Paris.
The chartered flight left Niger on Tuesday evening to evacuate French and European nationals who wished to leave the country where a military coup ousted a democratically elected president, Mohamed Bazoum, on July 26.
Catherine Colonna, the French Foreign Minister, stated on Tuesday that 262 people were onboard the plane.
According to the French Foreign Ministry website, evacuations will continue on Wednesday.
French nationals have been advised by the Ministry to go to the international airport in Niamey, Niger’s capital for evacuation.
