Paul Omotosho, the Ekiti State chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has reportedly been kidnapped by yet-to-be identified gunmen.
Omotosho was said to have been kidnapped Saturday evening along the Agbado-Imesi-Ekiti road in the state’s Gbonyin Local Government Area.
The chairman, who hails from Imesi-ile, was on his way to his hometown when gunmen ambushed his vehicle and whisked him away into the bush.
Confirming the kidnap, Party spokesman Segun Dipe says he was on his way to his country home, Imesi-ile, from Ado-Ekiti when he was abducted Saturday evening. “Yes, our chairman has been kidnapped this evening, and we are already working with security agencies towards securing his release,” he said.
