The Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has stated that popular comedian and skit maker Trinity Guy will be charged in court next week.

The police spokesman stated this in a statement he shared on his Twitter page.

He said, “He will surely be charged in court on Monday.” We have received several complaints against him, and many groups, NGOs, and CLOs are interested in the case. There is no sentiment in law, like I always say. Others should be able to learn from his actions and inactions.

“Many have reached out to me on this case, but I have made it known that it’s not a personal thing. It’s the provision of the law, decency, and morals”.

Adejobi had called for the arrest and subsequent charge of the popular Nigerian skit maker and prankster over one of his recent, allegedly extremely terrifying pranks.

    • Police arrest 5 for armed robbery in Adamawa

Reacting to one of the skit maker’s video where he was seen asking a minor inappropriate question, Adejobi stated that “this is not a prank. It’s purely a crime. In a religious setting, it’s called a sin. In psychology, it’s called an abnormality, and in sociology, it’s called taboo. It’s punishable under the law”.

Adejobi further noted that “his case will serve as a deterrent to others”.
