Five boys who specialize in burgling and stealing valuable items from people’s shops and houses in the Yola North Local Government of Adamawa State were arrested on Friday by operatives of the Adamawa State Police Command.
The command made this known in a statement shared on the command’s Twitter page.
The command stated that it also retrieved one sewing Machine, a generator, clothing materials, and a cutlass from the suspects during the investigation.
The statement said, “The Command on June 20, 2023, disconnected the criminal network of Shilla gangsterism, connecting parts of Kala’a Street, Doubleli, Chinko, Godobawa, and Limawa, all in Yola North Local Government. The suspected Shila boys specialize in burglarizing and stealing valuable items from people’s shops and houses within the State Capital, attacking and Robbing innocent people of their Belongings.
“The outcome of this commitment designed by the command to ensure public order, safety, and security in the state led to the arrest of these suspects from Various places, including: (i) Yusuf Bashir, 18 years, Resident of Kala’a Street (ii) Isa Muhammed, 20 years old, Ajiya Street (iii) Ayo Morofade, 18 years old, Angwan Tana (iv) Shuaibu Sudais, 13 years, Resident of Rumnde; (V) Muhammed Hassan, 20 years”.
