Djokovic makes history, wins 23rd Grand Slam

Djokovic has surpassed Rafael Nadal as the male tennis player with the most Grand Slam victories, and he is only one Grand Slam away from Margaret Court’s record of 24.
On Sunday, Novak Djokovic became the all-time male tennis player with the highest grand slam when he defeated Casper Ruud 7-6, 6-3, 7-5 on Court Philippe-Chatrier at the 2023 French Open.
The Serb now holds all four Grand Slam tournaments; Wimbledon, US Open, Australian Open, and French Open—at least three times each.

The world No. 3 got off to a shaky start, dropping the opening three games of the first set, but rallied to win the set in a tiebreak at 7-6. He needed to save a break point in the eighth game to even the game at 4-4 and then win the opening set in one hour and 21 minutes.
Djokovic surged to a 3-0 lead in the second set and won in 52 minutes. Ruud attempted a comeback in the third set, but the 22-time Grand Slam champion gave a good fight to go ahead and win the third set 7-5 after three hours and 13 minutes.
Djokovic has now tied Serena Williams’ Grand Slam tally and is just a single Grand Slam behind Margaret Court, who holds the record with 24 Grand Slam championships.
