WhatsApp allows users to edit messages

WhatsApp users now have access to one of the most anticipated features: the ability to modify messages.
“For those moments when you make a mistake or simply change your mind, you can now edit your sent messages on WhatsApp,” the Meta Platforms Inc.-owned (META.O) messaging service announced in a blog post on Monday.
Senders will be able to change their messages within 15 minutes of clicking send once the capability is available internationally in the coming weeks.
Long-pressing the message and selecting “edit” from the drop-down menu will bring up the feature. The updated message will include the label “edited” but will not show the modification history.
Competing applications, like Telegram and Signal, already enable users to modify messages, while microblogging site Twitter allowed selecting users to edit tweets last year.
