Samuel Adegoke, a student of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ogun State, has reportedly killed himself by taking a harmful substance after losing his tuition fees and those of his friend while gambling online.

According to reports, the deceased misused his school tuition to gamble online on Friday, which was unfortunate.

Adegoke, a National Diploma II student of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, allegedly committed suicide on Monday, when his colleagues were studying to write their first semester exam.

Adegoke was said to have defrauded his friend and roommate by using his fees to gamble after getting the friend’s password secretly.

In an attempt to save his life, the deceased was quickly taken to the school’s health care centre but was referred to a hospital outside of the school before he was declared dead.
