Under Tinubu, Nigerians will enjoy the nation's wealth - Oluremi Tinubu

Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the incoming First Lady and wife of the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, has stated that Nigeria’s wealth belongs to the people, and her husband will utilize it judiciously for the good of all Nigerians.

Oluremi asserted on Sunday in Abuja, during the Presidential Inauguration Inter-denominational Christian Service at the Ecumenical Centre, where she represented her husband.

At the presidential inaugural service, which was attended by top Christian leaders across the country, Mrs. Tinubu said, “God has blessed my family. We don’t need to abuse the position of trust reposed in my husband. The resources of Nigeria are a commonwealth that belongs to the people, and we are going to use them to better the lives of Nigerians”.

She, therefore called on clergymen, women, and leaders of all faiths to pray for the success of her husband and for the grace to steer the country in the right direction.

“We need your prayers. I call on Christian leaders all over Nigeria to please pray for us. Our country shall make progress and shall be the cynosure of all eyes among the community of nations.”

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who was also in attendance in the company of his amiable wife, Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo, urged Nigeria’s political, corporate, and religious leaders to work for the country’s peace and development, noting that God always communicates with nations via people.

Professor Osinbajo cited the Bible extensively to support his claims, including how God told Abraham that he would make him the father of nations.

Quoting the book of Proverbs, “righteousness exalts a nation”, Osinbajo said the nation needs righteous leaders that will work with fairness and integrity.

He said, “Our political, business, and religious elites must work for the peace and prosperity of Nigeria because God speaks to nations through individuals. We must work for the greatness of our country and pray that our leaders succeed. Nigeria needs leaders that will serve with honesty and integrity”.

Osinbajo admonished all Nigerians to support and pray for the new administration irrespective of their political differences so that Nigeria will continue to remain a great country.
