Incessant attacks in Kogi communities

In the early hours of Sunday, gunmen abducted Reverend Father Jude Maduka, a Catholic priest of Christ the King Parish, Ezinachi/Ugwaku, Okigwe Diocese.

The event was discovered through multiple sources, including homeowners and parishioners.

Some said he was kidnapped while heading to Sunday mass, while another claimed he was kidnapped during an examination of his new adoration site in Okigwe’s Ogii Village.

While the residents were stunned, several villagers who wished to remain namelessly related what happened to tales of kidnapping for ransom in the Okigwe axis, as well as attacks with political motives in the area.

This comes a day after two police officers were murdered and one sustained injuries at Okpala Junction in the state’s Ngor Okpala council area.
