Ibadan: Popular online hair vendor found dead in hotel

A young woman named Adeshina Olayinka, also known as Khadi, was discovered dead in a motel in Ibadan’s Akobo neighborhood according to reports.

Various unsubstantiated accounts of how the body was found at the hotel exist.

Shizeez discovered evidence on Facebook indicating that Adeshina Olayinka had informed a friend that she planned to go meet someone at the Akobo Hotel on Wednesday night.

Apparently, Olayinka spent the night with the person who was thought to be her lover before she was discovered dead the next morning.

Another source said one of the receptionists who borrowed Olayinka’s power bank went to the room to return it but after knocking on the door, no one responded which forced the hotel manager to come with an extra card to open the door, only to discover Olayinka’s corpse.

A source claimed Olayinka was allegedly used for ritual by the yet-to-be-identified lover in the hotel.

But another account of the incident claimed she had told her friend she wanted to meet with someone in a hotel in Akobo on Wednesday night.

“But on Thursday morning, when the man wanted to log out of the hotel when he got to the reception, the receptionist had to put a call to Olayinka to confirm her safety and she pick up the call and give permission they should allow the man, that she is just resting and no cause for alarm, soon she will log out too.

“Later, one of the receptionists who borrow Olayinka’s power bank went to the room for her power bank and knock on the door but no one responded, then the hotel manager come with an extra card to open the door and they saw her dead. It seems she is been used for ritual”, the source added.

Efforts to confirm the report from the police proved abortive as messages sent to the Command’s Spokesman, Adewale Osifeso had not been replied to.
