Borno House of Assembly member-elect dies in IndiaDr. Nuhu Clark, a candidate for the House of Assembly seat representing Chibok, has passed away.
The deceased passed away on Monday in India while receiving treatment.
The development was announced on Wednesday by Babakura Abbajatau, State Commissioner for Home Affairs, Information, and Culture.
After communicating with the deceased person’s relatives, Abbajatau predicted that the state administration would issue a formal announcement shortly.
The Deputy Governor, Umar Kadafur, lamented the loss of the deceased while expressing sympathy to his immediate family, the residents of Southern Borno, and the state as a whole.
Kadafur described the death as a great loss to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in view of his outstanding contributions to the growth and development of the state.
He commiserated with the immediate family of the late politician and prayed to the Almighty God to give the family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
