Old naira notes will be available across Nigeria by Friday, 24 March, a source in the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) told Chronicle NG on Wednesday.

The source noted that the apex bank has directed all Deposit Money Banks to collect the old notes that were banked with the CBN.

The banks are expected to immediately disburse these monies to the public to bring relief across the country.

The Automated Teller Machines (ATM) of banks are expected to be fully stocked over the weekend, making old and new notes available to Nigerians.

The source said, “More naira notes will be available by Friday as banks receive the old notes deposited with CBN today (Wednesday).
